lol Rani the only who technically properly finished the test.
It's like Inglis and others simply answered the problem without providing a solution (on math).

Without their feat it will look like Rani is the most emotionally stable among them.

Nephilim • 1 year ago

answering the problem without providing a solution. Thats what my math teachers hated about me. i usually gave correct answers without giving solutions.

Bob • 1 year ago

at that point, the teachers were in the wrong. The purpose of written tests are to determine if you can handle the situations while you're on the job. You proved you can reach the correct conclusion, therefore, you passed the test. Teachers need to understand what the purpose of tests are for. Back when i was a kid, people didnt have quick and easy access to calculators while on the job, so it made sense for kids to understand how to do math. But nowadays, calculators are easily accessable. So teachers should have leniency for math tests. Furthermore, i HONESTLY dont understand why calculus and algebra are part of high school classes, as VERY few jobs use them. As i see it, schools should teach average classes that most jobs use. Algebra and calculus, not so much. Those should be college classes for specific fields.

JDC • 1 year ago

actually in a work environment, accountability tracing is everything or else your whole work is built upon a house of cards that will fall apart with a simple audit and you'll be out of a job. Trust me i'm in the same group as you guys but the real world is not that simple.

Document, document and document even more...

A disappointed Trash Bin • 1 year ago

I get what you mean, but I'm not gonna need to show my work with a simple math equation that can be done on a calculator for a much faster and less time consuming way to do it. There's reasons why everything now is recorded in data through computers. Most of the time things are needed to be done according to a specific time that there is no time to think about what all needs to be written down when all could easily be recorded thanks to modern technology. I just feel that a lot of the school's teachings are so outdated that it needs to be revised somehow.

I dont have time for pointless bs, another reason I despise math

ChemicalMonkey • 1 year ago

Learning calculus is generally an elective unless you are in a private school, but learning algebra is an essential course in every high school. However, It isn't about learning the math at all. No one really thinks it is a skill necessary for every day life or even most jobs, that isn't why it is taught. Its all about having to take the time to think about how to solve a problem. It creates new neural pathways that drastically improve a persons problem solving skills outside of math and builds a persons patients. "hard" math is just a means to that end. Most teachers let students use calculators now-a-days and frankly...it sucks. As someone who does a lot of hiring (literally thousands every year) it is very frustrating and has led to a steep decline in quality hires over the past 20 years (I work for a machining company, its not complicated). When someone has to stop working because they can't figure out what to do when presented with a simple problem...that is very frustrating. Our employee retention has gone from 83% 20 years ago to only 16%. Very few people quit, the job is easy and pays $28/h starting wage. The issue is they end up being fired because they are constantly stopping machines to ask management how to proceed even after working for 3+ months.

Rockfire • 1 year ago

they are in the right, if you don't provide a solution then they have no way of knowing if you understand the answer you gave.providing the right answer doesn't mean you understand the problem.

hej25 • 1 year ago

Good luck explaining to the electrician how the house was structurally built. You might be able to make a stable 2 story house but if you can't explain how you did it then it's without water, heating, power and every other possible necessity. But hey! You did your part! Who cares if yhe other people can finish the contract. It's not like your pay depends on teamwork and understanding. Just selfish perfectionism will totally get the job done

NinjaHam • 1 year ago

You need algebra for personal finance. Things like loans and compound interests are part of everyday life.

The problem is most people can't write their own equations despite the education.

Usami Mizuki • 1 year ago

I know that feeling, especially during an exam where the solutions to each item should be at the back of the paper. If there is no solution, you will be suspected of cheating or likely you will not get bonus points.

Taggi • 1 year ago

It's fine. I'm like that as well. Its just we have our own way of calculating problems that does not use conventional equation. Good thing my math teacher gave me the freedom, she basically said she didn't care if I got my answer straight up from my butt just as long as I didn't cheat and actually had a solution in mind"

Mini_Minion • 1 year ago

solutions are just for people who dont know the answers (and also a waste of time) ^^

hej25 • 1 year ago

A programmers worst nightmare is returning to somr code the next day and not understanding anything they wrote. Thinking you can be perfect at all times will lead to you failing more than anyone

Mini_Minion • 1 year ago

we were talking about school there. when i understand some simple math and can calc it in my mind, why should i bother with a step by step solution? I already know the answer

false you clown

Ehntals Choranos • 1 year ago

While the answer is important. If you can't explain the methodology for reaching the answer you have no way of checking yourself. In school, the point is to teach you HOW to solve the problem so that you can apply that methodology to more complex problems as you advance. If you fail at the method, you fail at the lesson.

Mini_Minion • 1 year ago

i get your point, and i also agree to some degree. But its a shame that people who are faster in learning, or have talent are forced to slow down. And its not that i failed at the method or didnt know how to apply it, i just was faster without it.

Wrong, school is for indoctrination, the methodology is use less trash for sheep

I'm curious to see what happened during Rani's test, but knowing her, it would probably be something simplistic since she never had any serious misfortune throughout her life like Leone.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

It also could mean that Rani has nothing in her life to feel ashamed of that she can't already deal with.

Inglis breaking through the the mind trials and helping Liselotte and Leone pass I bet will come to bite them again much later. Inglis not so much but certainly whatever Liselotte faced and especially Leone when she confronts Leon.

MarkZ • 1 year ago

Properly? Yes. But i think Ignis and the blonde aced it. Test of strength? Ignis proved more than capable of utterly destroying everything, the blonde seemed to be holding her own easily too. Test of mind? The two didn't lose to the illusions at all... So yeah i'd say they pass by all logical markers. Its like coming to a test of 50 push ups, and doing 100 while in a headstand instead, in half the time... No one can say anything about not being qualified

Bob • 1 year ago

as i see it, Inglis technically passed the test. Can't speak for purple/blonde, as ignlis interrupted their tests. Rani obviously passed on her own merit. Anyway, as i see it, this was a test to prepare them for real world battles. Either with magicite beasts, or against enemy humans (bandits/soldiers/etc). In this case, Inglis forced her way and broke out of the dimension rather then following the rules of that test. If that was a real life dilemma, the result would have been the same. She would have still succeeded. So with this kind of test, its not necessarily cheating, but thinking outside the box. It was another solution that was valid as i see it.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

Nah, technically they all properly finished the test because at the very least they didn't break any rules.

And i don't know if you can really say that Rani is the most emotionally stable one among them when the test literally different from each one of them if you know what i mean. I mean it was like you expect 1 kid to do university level test vs 1 kid to do high school test with the same IQ and called the kid who finished high school test smarter than a kid who failed at university level test. The test itself doesn't fair to begin with and we didn't know what content does Rani took. At the very least we knew that Rani didn't go through like what the other two did in the past.

Shortcuts ftw!

Well F*ck... • 1 year ago

Actually the purple/violet haired girl would have not passed.
As well as Ignis if "she" met the goddess since I don't think "she" will have a will to fight "her" benefactor

finally someone with brain reply here.

Literally everyone watching this: "Yes, we know"

she's dog to me

no

ChosenOneX • 1 year ago

Really, how can Rani and Inglis eat so much? It's funny, but what the hell? Where does it go? They probably have a black hole inside their stomachs or something.

Anyways, it was pretty entertaining to see Inglis just smash through those dimensions.
"I don't think I need to keep going" - proceeds to smash her way out.
Well, I'm happy that Leone and Liselotte are now on good terms. Let's have some food to celebrate that.
Also - Pullum is cute and I want to see more of her.

It all goes to Inglis’s chest. Even Rani’s share.

Imagine when they poo... they will shitt alm.the bathroom those 2

Mega-Chad-Type-Hero • 1 year ago

Not necessarily. Most of the food will actually be converted into energy that they can then use to do their seemingly super-human performances. People who are that energetic will actually poop out very little at a time, and, I am actually speaking from personal-experience here, due to my past Olympics-level physical-fitness training (even at one point registering with a BMI of only 4% body-fat much to the astoundment of the rest of the martial arts school where this transpired). Also see my other reply in this thread about appetites...

Mega-Chad-Type-Hero • 1 year ago

You would be very surprised how much food people can eat when they have a very high amount of both the combination of strength and stamina.

Try holding a perfect horse-stance for a good couple of hours or even staying in a push-up position with arms/elbows at 90° for a couple of hours straight non-stop. I guarantee you that you will make everybody around you ask you where do you put all of that food the next time you eat after finishing that/those exercise(s). Even if you are not yet conditioned to do it for two hours straight, even fifteen (15) minutes of struggling with it should still increase your appetite to a notice-able degree, just try it & experience for yourself so that I don't have to go making videos doing it myself to prove what I've mentioned is indeed factual.

Anyway, with their ability to destroy walls and mountains and stuff even bare-fisted, the amount of food they eat is actually not unrealistic.
